Not only is Portland one of the biggest cities in the United States, it also has some great airports. It is in fact one of the largest cities in the United States with two major airports – Portland International Airport and Sea-Tac Airport.

Since there are many nonstop flights toPortland, there are plenty of opportunities to break even or gain some additional business with this addition. Once a customer becomes comfortable flying on Alaska Airlines, they are very likely to continue using them because of this low cost option.

Also, since most people fly close together, luggage handling and flight timing issues do not arise as much on short-haul flights as they do on long-haul flights. This makes travel on tight schedules easier than other airports.

Anchorage

When traveling to Alaska, the biggest question people have is where the airline flys in Anchorage. There are 3 options for aircraft: Kingtides, a small airport a few miles north of downtown, ECHC, and Fort Young Army Aviation Station.

Kingtides is the largest airport in town with two terminals and approximately 100 flights per week. It is also where the majority of airline flights arrive into North America as well as many international destinations.

The smaller ECHC and Fort Young airports are approximately 1,000 feet and 1,400 feet respectively, making it easy to find a clear spot in the sky.

If you are further out in the state, there are several airports where Alaska Airlines flies. Sitka National Monument is one of these, as it is located only a couple of hours south of Juneau.

Either way, flying into Ketchikan Airport is the quickest route, as they have several gates right next to each other.

Ketchikan

Ketchikan is the largest city in Alaska’s Southeast. It is known for its harbor and mountains surrounding it, making it a great place to celebrate summer.

Being in the middle of Alaska doesn’t mean you can’t fly to or from Ketchikan. Alaska Airlines flies their fleet to and from the airport located downtown, which is only a 20-minute drive away.

Fairbanks

If you are flying into Ketchum or Nenana, then head to either the International Airport or Ketchikan International Airport to make your flight. These two airports have connections to most cities in the U.S and Canada!

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is located in Nevada, which technically doesn’t allow air travel. However, most airports do have some kind of air traffic. Therefore, passengers can fly into Las Vegas and surrounding cities like North Strip and Downtown.

There are two reasons people decide to visit Las Vegas: its beautiful city lights and casinos. Both attractions are popular places to go during the night. Many people choose to stay in hotels at least one night to experience these attractions.
