The Ford Focus Rs, also known as the One-Directional, is currently being redesigned and revived by Ford as a full-size car. The One-Directional was introduced in 1995 and was one of the first models in the compact car class to offer a functional central control unit.
The One-Directional was never very successful as a commercial vehicle however, being stuck in the same small family as the Vauxhall Vivaro and Chrysler Pacifica. Both of these cars have more than enough space inside to comfortably fit people, objects, and lighting.
Since its introduction, many changes have been made to the One-Directional. The roof was removed, making it more like a hatchback style SUV, and it was given larger doors instead of a hatch. It also received an updated grille and colouring.

Good handling
While the Ford Focus Rs in bullet point 1, will not offer an auto, it does have some handling characteristics that make it a good choice for mountain biking.
First, it has a little bit of body roll under hard acceleration. This allows you to slightly slide your bike out from under you at certain speeds. It also makes it easier to shift between lower and higher gears while riding, as you can easily move the gearbox into next gear without having to manually downshift.

The Ford Focus Rs is a pleasant surprise. After driving the Focus Active for a few months, I was curious if the Rs would be as nice to drive.
The Rs is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes a bit of power and an automatic gearbox. This is similar to how the Volkswagen Golf GTi gets its automatic gearbox.
The four-wheel drive variant gets another transmission called wet leasing, which is an interesting name since it does not seem like it would work well in this application. However, it does!

Roof scoop
The Rs comes with a roof scoop, a fun feature that few people will notice but should! You can use it to save some of your precious floor space and air!
The feature works by placing a small plastic tab on the front left side of the car. When you raise or lower the rear lift arm, it removes the roof panel, allowing you to add additional seats or items in storage easily.
To activate it, you must pull the tab all the way out before adding children or bulky items.
