The largest state by land area is Rio de Janeiro with 16 percent of Brazil’s land area. The world-famous Rio de Janeiro cityscape and dramatic mountains are a major draw.
Other notable states include Minas Gerais, where the city of Belo Horizonte is located, Pernambuco with its beach towns, and Amapá with its huge Amazon region.
Amapá has some amazing national parks such as Tukufuya and Caravelas, both of which are close to the capital Eldorado do Rainforest. These parks offer some very photogenic walks!

There is a long dress season in Brazil, and you do not want to be left out. Long dresses are a relatively new fashion fad, but it is already growing in popularity.
It is hard to know what lengths of clothing you can wear in Brazil, as many new styles are introduced every year. Some go back into the classic longer dress style, while others continue to experiment with them.
That is the fun part! As more and more people try these short, tight-fitting dresses, others will add some length to them. You can predict when the short length dresses will get longer because of people’s request for it.
There are many places that have great sales or partner events where you can meet other long length designers to collaborate on projects or get feedback on your designs.
Leggings
Leggings are a must have item for Brazil. There are many stores that sell Khaki, Yellow, and Tan Leggings which are great for Brazil. Most of these stores also have some supply houses that dole out the leggings!
For starters, there is a area called os paulo street in Rio de Janeiro where there are very strict codes on what colors and styles of clothes are accepted. Os paulos stately is a popular fashion area where nice looking women find clothes to wear.
There is a very tight circuit of shops that specialize in getting you exactly what you want but for a lower price. This is partly because it is more difficult to gauge how expensive something is to people and how they feel it needs to be cheap!
Leggings are one item where you can buy them over and over as they are so important to put on every day.
Sweaters
Like most cold-weather countries, Brazil has some wonderful sweaters. Most are soft and furry, making them nice and cozy. Some are stretchable!
If you are going out in the winter, or if you are a teen looking for fashion statements (like teens do every once in a while), then getting a sweater is a great investment. It will help you look more organized and save you from being overheated or cold-shouldered by people around you.
Many brands offer online retailers, so it is not hard to find a good pair. They can be pricey if you were only getting one item, but overall, it is worth it to stay warm!
Some of the recommended brands include ones that have furry or soft faces, ones with deep colors, and ones with long sleeves.
Tanks tops
There are a lot of activities to do in São Paulo. There are many beautiful parks and places to run, so you should not worry about running out of steam. As the city is extremely large, the list of locations and services grows as well.
Running is one of the best exercises to enjoy in the city. There are many well-trained runners around you, so pick one and run in groups or alongside other types of exercise such as yoga, swimming, or football training.
The top-level professional soccer league has been moving to São Paulo since 2013 and today it is the most popular sport in the city. If you are a fan of soccer, you should pack your team jersey so that when they play you get some recognition!
Another fun activity to do is kayaking or canoeing. These allow you to get out on the water which can be very relaxing.
Rain boots
While Brazil is known for its rainy season, it can be a dry country during the rest of the year. If you are planning on being outdoors in Brazil, then it is important to pack a pair of rain boots.
Traveling in Brazil is going to mean spending some time outside, so ensure that you have them! While it is possible to wear sandals or even low shoes while traveling in Brazil, it is best to wear sturdy shoes.
If you prefer light shoes while traveling, avoid footwear that are very soft or with very little support. These types of shoes may not keep your feet warm and safe from fractures and breakage.
Traveling in southern Brazil, where the weather is more humid and wet, it is important to keep an appropriate pair of pants or shorts on hand. Keeping a nice-looking white long-sleeved shirt and pants on hand will help prevent wetness and sweat loss.
Snow boots
When traveling to Brazil in the winter, it is important to pack snow boots. These will help you navigate the many backcountry trails and stay warm. There are many places to go-you just need to be prepared for the weather.
Most of the backcountry trails in Brazil are open snowcovered year-round, so no worries there! Some are closed due to rain or flooding, which is unfortunate.
Knowing where and when to use snow boots is a difficult task in itself. In Brazil, where it can be very hot during the day, staying on strong enough to protect your feet from burns and wetness may be an issue.
Flats
If you are going in a more casual fashion, do not pack heels or boots. The temperature is high enough in Brazil that it is nice to be able to relax and wear something else.
Also, if you are traveling in a group with other tourists, make a rule about what clothes people should and shouldn’t wear. For example, tight jeans and long sleeve shirts are not good ideas!
Most hostels and hotels have a policy of only allowing street shoes or comfortable shoes. If you have very fancy shoes that cannot be worn anywhere but your home, they may be better sent back!
If you are traveling alone, the best tip is to pack black or gray flight goggles so that you do not look like an idiot when it gets dark.
Heels
You will need sturdy shoes to be able to withstand the hot and humid weather. If you are not accustomed to wearing heels, be careful- Brazil is a very feet-friendly country!
