Choose the correct size breaker for your hot water heater

Then, when you want to install a new breaker box, make sure that you have enough space for the new breaker box. You may need to buy some extra space between the two for proper assembly.
Install automatic ignition devices and automatic shut-off devices
If you have a hot water heater that needs to be replaced, you should also check to see if there are any new safety features have been added for the same size heater.
Some manufacturers have added automatic ignition devices or automatic shutoff devices for replaceable heaters. These devices will automatically turn off the water when it reaches warm water temperature and puts out a flame to indicate the start up.
If these devices are installed, then you do not need to worry about them shutting off the heat in an emergency.
