We live in a world that values commitment, but it’s a commitment that you have to make yourself. There are very few situations where two people decide to spend the rest of their lives together, but if they do, they have to be committed to each other first.
That’s what marriage is – you’ve got to be committed to each other before you can commit yourself. It’s a tough way to love, but it happens.
When two people love each other, the process of loving begins with physical attraction. Since one person has to be ready and willing before the other is, they have to start dating.
Sometimes people don’t feel ready so they stay with someone else for awhile, thinking they are going to find what they don’t already have with that person. But it doesn’t happen like that. You have to really want something and be willing to take the time necessary to achieve it.

Understanding the word ‘yes’
When a woman says yes to God, she’s acknowledging that she needs him in her life and loves him enough to come unto him and ask for his presence.
She’s also saying yes to others, because by choosing Jesus as her Savior, she’s chosen to follow him. She’s choosing to be in a relationship with God, her husband, and other people.
In the realm of relationships, a strong relationship means one that stands firm and true. A weak relationship is one that wavers and breaks under the pressure of timeslot changes, stressors, or simply age-related changes.
A strong relationship can break or crack under the weight of circumstances or people who don’t truly know them. A strong relationship can also crumble when one person doesn’t understand or agree with what the other is going through.
When one person in a relationship does not understand another person’s situation, it creates an environment where arguments occur frequently. This doesn’t need to be between friends but close friends do make it front-burner-friends.
Yes means commitment
We live in a society that pressures women to stay at home and mother their children. This is a fantastic way to live life, but it requires work.
Yes, you read that right. It requires an entire life commitment to God and His ministry. You can’t do it on a trial basis, no! You have to say yes to God on a regular basis or He won’t keep calling you.
That’s the point of the Yes theme: On the contrary to what you might think, saying yes to God doesn’t mean we get busy making decisions in anticipation of how we’ll feel about them, it means we get busy accepting what He has done for us and letting him do his thing.

Say yes to God is a non-denominational program designed to help you change your life by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Say yes to God was created in the early 2000s by three Christian leaders: Mike Leavitt, a former Democratic Utah governor; David Trotter, a former U.S. Army lieutenant colonel; and Dawn Hooper, a Christian author and speaker.
The trio founded Say Yes to God as an independent ministry in 2006, later establishing it as an official part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).
Today, Say Yes to God has over 80 million viewers worldwide watching more than 150 million episodes. Most episodes are only 30 minutes long but contain some content that may be weeks or even months long.
The program is broken down into six phases: Acceptance, Introduction, Cheerleading, Challenges, and Support. During each phase, there are specific challenges that must be met in order for people to accept the DVD into their homes.
Say yes to His Word
We mention this in bullet point six, but being willing to say no to God is also something that must be repented of. It is impossible to deny God permission to do what he wants with your life unless you have first asked God for forgiveness and repented of your sin.
That’s why it is so important for us as a church community to communicate our repentance to the world through our worship and evangelism efforts. We need to be the ones who invite people into our lives and communities by allowing them access to the Say YestoHis Word DVD.
By granting ourselves the opportunity to say no to sin and no to God’s will when we hear his message on salvation, we are also giving him a chance to say yes to us. This is an incredibly powerful way for us as a church community to encourage others into Christ.
This DVD was designed with this in mind, so that those who have not been saved can still learn about Jesus and His gospel through this approach.
Say yes to His work
At the end of the day, God calls people to him. He asks them to respond to his work and he responds to their faith.
When women say yes to God, it can mean more than just responding to his work with their faith. It can be more than that. It can be saying yes to everything he is asking of them in his family and in society at large.
It can be thinking that this is only what God wants him to do, but no one but God knows what he is going to do next. It can be feeling like they are playing a role in their lives that they aren’t really interested in, but God is playing a different tune and they need to hear it.
It can be thinking that this is what will make them successful with God, but He has other plans for them. It’s not how they respond to His work, but it’s what they represent for when He works with them.
Say yes to His people
More than half of pregnancies in the United States are unintended, and nearly all of them occur among young women. This is unfortunate, as God uses these people to tell His story in our society and to spread the gospel.
Yet despite the fact that approximately one million women a year receive an abortion, experts estimate that close to half of those individuals will go on to have children.
For some women, the decision to have a child is complicated. These are people who believe they cannot take care of a baby, or how they want their baby to be born. Some want an early birth and/or termination if the baby is not healthy.
These are people who say yes to God means something different from what we think it does. For instance, they may believe that if you are successful in having a child, then you will gain confidence in your abilities and in your faith.
Yes requires sacrifice
Men think sacrifice is about giving something of yourself, but it’s actually about asking for something from others. It means to ask for help from others, or to rely on someone else to do what you need to.
When a woman asks God for His Grace, she is asking for help from others. She is asking people in her life to step aside and allow her to experience His favor and deliverance. And while men often make the step of sacrifice when they’re ready, women need to be willing to wait more than men do.
Because women are more hesitant to put themselves in situations that could cause them stress, they often don’t fully realize how much work God requires of them until it’s too late.
When a woman says yes to God, she is being willing to be delivered from the laws of sin and Satan by a person who has seen the depth of her depravity and who has made a promise that He will fulfill it by sending His Son into her life—a personal encounter with Jesus that results in salvation—and she receives His grace.
When she says yes to God, she also says yes to Him.
Yes brings reward
There is a reason that God asks you to trust in Him before You Say Yes to Anything. When you say yes to God, He rewards you with His love and glory.
You may not know what {God} is doing at this point, but as your life progresses He will bring you further into His presence and give you more of His gifts.
If you’re reading this article right now, then God has definitely brought you full-force towards Him and into His Kingdom. It’s important to remain faithful to God though, as He will never leave you or forsake you.
