Signal strength
An ultrasound’s signal strength is how strong the device is. How much interference a radio or cell phone receives is how strong its signal strength is.
Some ultrasound devices have more powerful signals than others. The higher the number, the more powerful the signal.
A machine with a red and blue dot on it is considered having a very powerful signal. A machine with only a red and blue dot may be less effective than one with a stronger signel strength.
Finding out whether you have a baby or not can be nerve-wracking, which is why it is important to have an accurate and powerful ultrasound. Having a less effective ultrasound can lead to missing the signs and symptoms of baby’s arrival or even harm them.
Baby position

Continued growth during pregnancy can be problematic because of risk for breech presentation or roll-to-roost delivery. Short umbilical cords can be re-attached during delivery to start the process over again.
Knowing what color your unborn child is can help determine if there are needs that need to be met by the birth or if it will outgrow the need. For example, if your unborn child is red and/or has a long umbilical cord, then it may be underactive and you will not need anything major in the labor until birth.

The legs may or may not be visible on an ultrasound. If they are, the ultrasound tech can fold them up so they are only showing the feet.
If the unborn baby has no legs, an ultrasound tech can use something else to support them on the floor to create the illusion of legs. For example, if one foot was larger than the other, then she could support them on that foot alone.
Does the baby have a heart rate?
An ultrasound can show if the baby has a heart rate or not. The scan can be done by placing a suction device on the baby, or by doing an electrical record.
The baby’s heart may not be stable at birth, and may even die shortly after being born. If this is the case, there may be no red flag on the ultrasound.
There may be a chance that there is a rhythm, or normal heart beat behind the red flag. If this happens to you, it will look like a hand with a clock on it coming out of the baby’s chest.
An electrical record can show if the baby has a heartbeat on its own, and whether or not it is regular. A weak heartbeat can mean that the baby does not have lungs to breathe air and dies early on in delivery.
