Big Ten Network is an American cable and satellite television network that is owned by the conference itself. It was launched in 2014 as a digital platform, allowing subscribers of its college television channel to watch streaming content online.
Now, it has made its way to a terrestrial television station in each of the major cities, including Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Columbus. It is an alternate Feed of the Big Ten Network that features some of the same programs as its regular channel, including college football games.
The network is also available for purchase as a standalone product, meaning you do not have to subscribe to your college’s network to watch their football games. Though this has been gaining popularity due to its convenience, many people are hesitant to join the pay-to-watch club because it is hard for them to distinguish between the two channels.

Find out if you have the correct package
if you do, you’re all set! You can watch football online or on TV via the BTN app.
If not, you can try checking your local listings to see if they are carrying it or if it is available on DirecTV or Amazon.
DirecTV Now is a great way to watch college football as it is a free option. If you have an account, you can watch as many games as you want!
If you have a cable or satellite package that includes BTN, check your local listings to see if it is available on your TV. Some people with large packages may be able to pick it up as a add-on channel via satellite or cable TV providers.
Call and request the channel
If you can’t find BTN on your TV, you can call Direct TV and request the national channel.
Like ESPN, this channel features college football and other sports. You can call them at (844) 664-2230 to request it!
It takes about a week for them to send it to your television, so take enough time to watch it!
If you are a fan of either Michigan or Ohio State, you should take note: These two schools play every week, and every Thursday is “Thur-day Morning Football”.

If you want to see BTN on your local tvd, you’ll need to get the BTN Extra package. It costs around $4 a month, so it is definitely worth it. You can also purchase the extra package separately for $1 a month.
