Where can I recycle my batteries?
Batteries are a little delicate item so it is important to check into recycling centers to see if they accept them. Most battery centers will take old batteries.
Some don’t and would benefit from new ones. If the center does not have new batteries, they can still re-use old ones. Reclaimed batteries are the best choice for projects as they last longer and are usually cheaper than new ones.
If you want to know if a battery is fresh or old, it should be soft and shriveled looking. If it is hard and rocky looking, then it probably was not used long enough for it to go bad.
