Their mainline flights offered first class seating and excellent service. Their budget lines had coach seating and no service except for changing travel plans. These flights are very different from today’s airlines who offer both coach seating and services on long-distance routes!

IAD is located in an agriculture area about 30 minutes north of downtown Washington, D.. Due to this location, IAD receives very little rain which makes it difficult for an airport water system to maintain adequate pressure for take-offs and landings.
