Friend is a powerful word, which describes how we all connect with one another in love and community. In the New Testament, Jesus calls us to a deep love and trust with one another.
In the gospels, the term friend is used ten times to describe people in close proximity to each other. These include fellow believers, fellow neighbors, and others in our society who play a role in our life—such as employers, service providers, and others who help us achieve our goals.
Friend describes how we relate to one another in the New Testament. We all need to trust that God is our friend, and that He loves me more than anything else on this earth. When I trust in God for my friendship, God grants me peace.

Trust in Him
Trust in him who alone has the authority to forgive your sins. Trust in his kingdom, not your own.
That’s a tough message to hear, but it’s true. God is our ruler today and always has been, but he isn’t going to forgive our sins if we don’t too.
We can’t go to God and say, “I deserve hell, but I know I won’t get into heaven unless I do this and that, so I trust you.” He wouldn”t listen unless we asked him to.
That is why it is so important for us to know Jesus as our savior. If you don’t believe him now, you will never truly trust in him! He died for our sins, was buried and spent time coming back up so that we could have his forgiveness. He sent his son to live with him forever as a way of atonement for us.
What does this verse mean?
This verse is a favorite of many friends. Many read this verse for the first time as they are getting married and planning their wedding.
It tells them that although God created every person in His beautiful image, He also designed a friend in Jesus to help us through our everyday needs.
By having a best friend, you are being introduced to Jesus and your future husband/wife, so why not make your friendship with God an additional wedding ceremony requirement?
Your future husband will need to spend time with you, and he may even feel embarrassed or heavy-hearted when he has to talk to you, but if he can do it on his own, then maybe he will listen to God and put his friendship with you on hold until He does.

We can have both elements of this verse: certainty in ourselves and certainty in others. We can be certain that we are faithful and trustworthy. We can be certain that others may believe what we say and live what they tell us they live. We can be confident that others will behave like faithful and trustworthy individuals.
Who is Jesus?
In the world today, we know Jesus as the son of God, the messiah, and as the Savior. However, you don’t need to know these things to love and relate to him.
Jesus is a unique person who has come back into public prominence as our savior.
What do you think of when you hear the name “Jesus”?
Most people think of a short, stocky man with graying hair and a beard. He is usually depicted in stories as being friendly and compassionate.
However, that is not what Jesus is known for most of all. He is also considered a teacher, particularly of the Christian religion. People refer to him as the greatest teacher of all time.
Many people find his teachings challenging, because he does not use contemporary language or terminology when describing His concepts. He uses more formal language, like titles instead of ordinary words.

Can I know Him?
Do you know Jesus? In a word, yes! For more than a billion people worldwide, He is the Christ, the Son of God.
Yet for many He remains a mysterious and difficult God to understand.
Here are some friends who testify of Jesus and give you the opportunity to learn about Him.
Can I Know Him? Friends tell us that in fact nearly all of humanity knew Jesus—even if only marginally. He was such an integral part of their lives that they would not dare miss Him. Even His enemies knew about Him—they called Him mighty (Matt 6:1-4).
Can I Know Him? friend 1 told us that when she was a young girl in Europe, she would hear tales about how wonderful Jesus was and how people loved him. She said she never forgot those stories because she saw first-hand how much people loved him.
How can I know Him?
In the beginning, God created the universe in a state of perfect order. He placed everything in its proper place and gave them power to stay there.
After He finished creating the world in His image, God commanded it to be inhabited. He gave people dominion over the earth and mankind could live in whatever place they were happy.
However, man sinned and was tossed out of the Garden of Eden, where he could have a perfect society with God. Instead, he fell into depravity and called himself god-like.
This was a big mistake as without Him being present, man would have died long ago without knowing him. As He is the source of all life, man must find Him to live.
There are many ways to know Jesus. Some people go to church, but that doesn’t prove they really know Jesus.
Read the Bible
Most people don’t read the Bible regularly. Yet, without reading the Bible, you are missing one of the most important parts of Christianity.
The Bible is a wonderful book filled with hope and love. It teaches about Jesus, his life, death and resurrection, as well as other great things like friendship and family.
By reading the Bible in your life, you will learn some of its more difficult things, such as God’s character and His commands. You may also find some answers to questions you have had in your life but didn’t answer fully.
You may also find new stories to tell about God that were never told before.
