The Snowburban is an Ultradry winter boot. This term refers to the fact that it requires less maintenance than a normal winter boot. Regular winter boots require regular cleaning and stretching, sometimes twice a year. Vacuum tech boots need being regularly aired out, being spreader guns needed to be used on them at least twice a year, and having bootslide tanks installed every five years or so.

The only way this boot can be recommended is if you have very little or no foot width or length. If you have long, broad feet, this might not work. Even then, it would be difficult to recommend this boot due to the lack of support.
If you are looking for something more supportive, look at the Bellroy Extreme Cold Weather Boots and shoes. They are similar in design to the Snowburban Ultradry Boot, but have more arch support. These offer better relief for people with curvaceous feet.
Neither of these models contain any metal parts that could cause pain or harm if your foot gets stuck, which was a concern with the Snowburban Boot.
A little tight in the toe box area
The Vasque Snowburban Ultradry Winter Boot is a nice looking boot. It has rawhide patches on the inside of the foot, and a steel toe piece. This gives it some traction when snowboarding or skiing!

Just like any other high-quality boots, the shoe will get a little tight at the toe area after a few wears. If you are usually on your feet all day, this can be an issue. A good place to put pressure is just below the ball of your foot where it becomes most supportive.
Not great for water use
The Vasque Snowburban Ultradry Winter Boot is not designed for water use. This is due to the fact that the upper is made of leather and the sole is made of rubber. These factors make this boot very hard to clean, and put through the water cycle.
This is a pretty big downside to this boot as it is not recommended for water use. However, this can be overlooked if you are looking for something more lightweight. Otherwise, it may be difficult to find a winter boot that is lightweight enough without being ineffective in cold weather.
Another issue that comes up when people are told how old these boots are that don’t wear them out fast is snow clearance. Because these have such a heavy winter coat design, they can get some pretty quick sales fall out.
