Connect iPhone to same Wi-Fi as your Gear S2
When you connect the iPhone to your Gear S2, your phone can access the same network as your device. This feature is called Sunshine Mode.
When this mode is on, all of your data and apps are sent to and from your device automatically. You will not even be notified!
To set up Sunshine Mode on your phone, go to settings then Wi-Fi and configure a new wireless network. Once that is done, go back to the Samsung app and select “Set Up” under “More Settings”.
Once that is done, check that you are connected to the right network by going to my Network or Settings then Wi-Fi. If necessary updates or changes are needed, then make those changes via Samsung app.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth > Toggle on Bluetooth
Now your smartwatch must be connected to an iPhone, so go to the phone’s Bluetooth settings and turn on pairing.
If you have a Samsung device, you do not need to do this step. The Gear S2 is like a wireless extension of your phone!
Once connected, switch your phones nearby devices to reduced range mode to make it easier for the connection to hold. Then turn on sync and connect!
Now that the two devices are paired, you can test them together by walking around with your smartwatch ON.

Enter passcode on iPhone if one is set
Having an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy device connected to the Samsung Gear S2 via the bands connection has been a fun way to test out the pair.

Wait for confirmation message on phone and watch
If you are using an Android device, make sure that your phone is connected to the same network as your Gear S2.
If you are using an iPhone, make sure that your phone is connected to the same network as your Gear S2. Otherwise, you will be redirected to a website where you will have to set up a paired Bluetooth connection between your devices.
If done correctly, you will see a confirmation message on your mobile device saying that the app is paired and able to communicate with the Gear S2.
Start using your smartwatch with your phone!
Now that we are familiar with how to pair the Samsung Gear S2 with the iPhone, let’s go ahead and do it. There are a few ways to start pairing your smartwatch to your phone.
1. Go to the Connectivity section of your Samsung app and tap on “Phone” under the “Playback Source” option. This will allow you to control and sync your settings and data between your phone and your Gear S2.
