There are several ways to load your computer. Some methods are more user friendly than others. We will talk about some of these in this article!
The most popular way to start your computer is by using the Windows start button and then select Windows install. This can be problematically loaded when the hardware is not supported or there is a technical issue with it.
The second most popular way to start your computer is by using installed programs or devices. This can be problematically loaded when there is not enough power going through the PC to support it.
This can be fixed with external power supplies or cables that take advantage of my PC’s power supply.

Download and install Lenovo Boot Optimizer
If your laptop doesn’t automatically start when inserted in the power source, then you should download and install Lenovo Boot Optimizer. This tool will help your laptop start automatically when powered on.
When you run Lenovo Boot Optimizer, it will look for the Windows bootloader and disable it. This will make the computer start when turned on so that Windows loads.
Run the program and select the USB drive you want to use
Once you plug your hard drive into the laptop, it will show in the HDD menu. You can then run any program that requires a hard drive as seen in the bullet point.
Run any disk image or backup program and select your USB hard drive as your source. This way, if something goes wrong with the USB hard drive, it can be restored using the disk image or backup program.
Runerunner: Once you have created your bootable system on the USB hard drive, you can use that to install a new operating system. There are several ways to install an operating system on a computer, but this is not intended to teach how to do that.
Copy the boot image to the USB drive
Now that the computer is fully power on, it is time to copy the boot image to the USB drive. You can do this by pressing F5 at this point.
You will be asked if you want to set up your new Windows 10 computer as a device, which you can do by clicking on Next. You will then have to specify which type of drive you would like to use and put in a path for it.
After that, you will have to verify your device connection and press Next. Then, you will have the option of downloading the boot image or manually typing in the one from before.
Reboot your laptop and enter the BIOS settings
If you cannot boot your laptop from the hard drive, then you should try changing the settings in the BIOS. Some models do not support a USB drive while in the BIOS.
In the BIOS, there are several options for setting up your computer. These include: Boot Mode (1 or 2), Configure Wireless and Networking, and Configure Hard Drive. We suggest checking the Configure Wireless and Networking option because if you want to use your laptop as a wireless router, you can set up your network using Broadband Internet Service (BIS) or Wireless Internet Service (WIS).

If your laptop does not have a USB port, then the second method is better! You can enter the BIOS and set up networking via a number instead of via a menu.
Navigate to Boot Options and select USB Drive
Once your laptop has finished booting, you can choose to add a USB drive to the laptop so that you can save your computer’s data to it. This is useful if your computer crashes and you want to keep all of the data on it.
To access the USB drive, select it with a small arrow and then select Write Data. You will then be able to navigate through your operating system, programs, and data as usual.
This option is very helpful as many computers no longer come with an optical drive. You can use this method to easily install programs and systems.

Click Save & Exit then restart your laptop
If your laptop doesn’t come out of sleep or standby mode automatically, then you can force it to do so by clicking the Save & Exit then restarting your laptop.
This will force your computer to save any data before turning off. You can then go back and Force Restart if you want to make sure data is preserved.
If your computer doesn’t turn on after this, check that you are plugging in the correct power adapter and that it is not a power supply that is faulty. If that does not help, try a different power adapter or removing one of the cables from the computer and checking that there are no shortings or bad connections involved.
Lastly, try pushing both keys on your keyboard at once to see if that helps start the computer up again.
When it starts, press F12 to enter boot options
When the computer starts, it needs to enter the boot options to select where it goes after starting up. This can be tricky at first, but keep forcing F12 until it does.
Once it does, you can decide if you want to put it in legacy or modern support. Most people choose modern support as it uses install disks and programs work better that way.
If you want to go back to legacy support, just choose Disabled under the Boot Options menu. You can still install Windows if you want too, just leave the second disk partition alone or make sure there is enough space for Windows and its programs.
Both methods work! If one does not work for you, try doing a soft reset and see if that fixes anything.
Select USB Drive with operating system on it
If you have an external USB drive with an operating system on it, you can connect your laptop to it and let it take control of the computer. This can be useful if your laptop cannot boot from the hard drive or if there is no USB drive available.
You can then select the external USB drive as the hard disk and load the OS from there. If this is useful to you, great! If not, try another one out!
This requires using special software called Data LifeGuard that can read data from ailia on an external flash storage device and put data onto an internal flash storage device.
