There are five main fitness classes at La Mesa Fit Body Boot Camp: Pilates, P90X, TRX, Grecian Agile and Zumba. Each class has its own set of moves and a different feel.

The Pilates class is probably the most basic. There is a mat where you can move your body on. The instructor will give you instructions on how to do each move and how to maintain your balance during the class.

The P90X class is more of a re-configured version of the pilate class. It has some steps added, and the emphasis is more on exercise styles such as Circuit Training or Zumba.

The TRX class uses an actual training tool called a trx kit. This allows us to have a completely safe way to work out. The last class we had was the Grecian Agile workout which is like swimming with only your hands on top of the water surface.

At La Mesa Fit Body Boot Camp, we offer a variety of introductory classes that make it easy to start working out or maintain a regular exercise routine. Our barre class are 2-3 hours of guided workouts that are focused on your specific needs.

Our 1 hour introduction classes give you the opportunity to meet the other participants and learn about the program, but are focused on you learning how to get into and keep a good workout routine.

Our 5 hour beginner class is full of motivation but not-so-subtle (but intense) guidance. This is the ideal starting class for most people, as we focus more on breathing than precision in the movements.

Our 6+ hour advanced class requires at least one revision of the beginner class before we move on.

What should I bring?

At the beginning of the class, you’re expected to bring your own mat or floor. This allows the class to prepare their space and give everyone a chance to see what the other participants are doing.

There is no equipment required at Fit Body Bootcamp, it is all about having a practiced space and making yourself available to your students. That being said, you may want to get some water and a snack as there will be some limited food and drinks provided.

You can also get some workout clothes from the class so your student can drape them around her body for the workout.

Do I need any equipment?

No! At all. You can do this anywhere! All you need is your own body and a couple of pillows to lie on.

You can also use the floor if you have that helpful. There’s no equipment required to get into the class either. You can just show up and ask to join the class!

It does not matter whether you have a regular or special needs body or what your goals are- you can get in the class even if you do. The point is to body-sharpen and sculpt, not make yourself look good!

The instructor will tell you what exercises they will do, but there is no specific order or size of muscles that must be worked. You just start moving and finishing on the sofa or floor if that is where you need to be.

This class is for anyone who wants to change their body shape, improve their function or feel good in themselves doing it.

There is no charge to attend La Mesa Fit Body Boot Camp. You can either pay right away or later at your convenience! You also have the option to make your payment in advance. Either way, you will receive your boot camp lesson and gear at the end of the class.

Does it take long?
