Find your Gear S2
Once your Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ has been updated to Android 8.1 Oreo, you can now connect it to a number of ways.
The Gear S2 is an old device that has been re-released and updated to new software. It now comes with Bluetooth capabilities which make it easy to connect it to a smartphone or tablet.
You can then transfer data and applications between the two devices!
There are several ways to connect the Gear 2 to a phone or tablet. Choose one that works for you and you! Many people use USB chargers as they are cheap and easy to find. When connecting the device via USB, make sure you set up the correct driver.
Once that is done, connect the Gear 2 through its headphone jack using an audio cable.
Download the Numbersync app
Once your phone is connected to the S2, you can do several things: Send a message, receive a message, sync your devices, and leave a message.
When you receive a message on your phone, it will be placed in your recently received messages where it can be easily accessed. You can also leave a quick message or set up an appointment to go over your plan later on.
If you want to set up an account on the app, you must do so through the mobile app first. Once that is done, you can go ahead and set up numbersync.
Using the Numbersync app allows you to have access to your phone or computer no matter where you are.
Connect your phone to your Gear S2
Once you have your S2 connected to your phone, you can call or message your S2 via the phone. This works like a regular messaging app, you type in a message and then your recipient can send back a message or link!
You can also email your S2, but it must be done through the Gear app. You can also send tiny gifts to your S2 using the Gear App!
Once you have verified your account, you can then send and receive messages quickly and easily. It is hard to say “time out” on a mobile device, so we recommend using the physical button on the Gear S2.
Select which numbers to sync to your watch
When you purchase your handset or phone, you will need to establish which numbers are compatible with the numbersync gear s2.
This is done by visiting the device’s online account setup page. You will need to enter your phone number and then select add device.
Once this is done, you can switch devices without having to re-log in or out of the app. You can also switch between devices on the app, just like with any other app.
There are a few things that cannot be transferred from one phone to another, so do not get too excited if your new numbermate does not work on your new handset right away.
Control phone calls from your watch
A feature new to me is the ability to control my phone from my watch. I was using a Samsung S9+ and a specialist app called Numbersync, was able to make and receive calls on my phone through the S9+ watch.
This app allows you to set up your numbers in their homeservice mode which makes it much easier to answer your call on your watch as well as your phone.
To use this app, you must have your phone connected to it via Bluetooth. You can then call the number of whom you wish to speak to on your watch using the S9+ voice recognition.
To add an additional person onto the call, you can do so by sending an SMS or calling through your phone again! This app is very useful for emergencies or when someone is not available home-base.
Handle text messages from your watch
When your watch detects a phone call or message, it will display the text message or phone call on your screen.
This feature is useful when you are out and about and need to know if someone called or sent an SMS while you are together, but they do not want to take the time to message you.

Another feature of the Watch that can be used is messaging. You can send and receive messages on your watch using your phone, but you must have access to the internet through your watch for that to work. This requires having data connection through your Watch however, as it does not provide messaging without data connection.

Once your device is set up, you can start using the numbersync app to connect with others. There are a few things to do at the app however.
You must create a account to use the numbersync app. This is done by going to your phone’s settings and then looking under “app & game accounts”. Once there, go into the new app and create an account.
Then, you must enter your devices contact information to connect with them. Once this is done, you can start using the app!
Once connected, you can type in your message and hit send. Then, when someone responds, they can send you a message back. It works similar to a chat service, but on mobile devices.

Most fitness trackers and phones have a music app that you can use for music. In the app, you can create a collection of songs to play at different times throughout the day or on specific apps, like Spotify or Apple Music at a later date.
