Select your font and size

Type your message

How to make burlap doormat: Next, cut out your textured burlap squares. These will act as your door mat. Place one square down on each side of the top edge of one of your invites. Then, cross over each other and join at the bottom edge of the invite.
Cut your burlap into squares
Once you have your door hanger squares, it is time to make them! On one side of each square, draw a diagonal line to create the slot for the door hanger. Then, on the other side of the square, draw a second diagonal line to create the slot for the card.
Pin your door hanger squares together and let them stand until they are very stiff. This can take a few days!
Using hot ironing, heat each square up until it is warm and squishy. Then, gently pull off the heat and allow the paper to cool down before cutting.
Cutting takes some practice, so do not get discouraged if you do not do it on the first try.
Fold your hanger in half
Now fold your hanger in half lengthwise, leaving a short end that you can use to write the phone number on.
Pin the short end to the long end of your hanger using a pin just like you would to hold it in place. This will prevent it from slipping or moving while you write your phone number on it.
Using a hobby knife or scissors, cut a small notch in the top of the folded length of your hanger. This will be where you write your business name and/or instructions for placing an order.

Next, sew a loop of fabric to the back of your door hanger. Add some movement to your hangers by adding some length to the loop.

Now, take one step forward and knot one end of the thread and draw the other end through the slot in the door hanger. You should now have a four-legged piece of flap!
Repeat until your hangers are full! This recipe will last for about a week until you hang them up- they will last much longer if you do this on Sunday and have them on Tuesday next week!
Do not worry about cleaning your hooks or what causes them to break- those are two things that do not need to be made, they just get hung up on.

Make these door hangers even easier to make with a little added ribbon. Simply add a few inches of ribbon to the hook and you are set!
