Buy some magnets
A whiteboard should not have a magnetic layer on it, so if you are using one, you should buy some extra magnets. A magnetic board can be difficult to remove without removing all the layers of paper and magnet.
Make sure to place the magnets on the board in the right places!
All you need to do is cut out some lines of paper and let your ink dry before applying another sheet of paper over it. Then, you just add some metal rings that connect to the other side of the whiteboard.
Drill holes in the glass
After you create your whiteboard, you’re going to need to drill a series of holes in it to allow the cable and power supply to come in. This means that your glass whiteboard will be able to hold a magnetic system!
Once you have done this, you can use your magnetic system to write on the board! You can use dry erase or permanent style pens.
Place the magnets in the holes
Once you have the whiteboard set up, you will want to place the two sheets of glass together. This will create a space for your students to write on and create a magnetic surface.
You can use either one of two methods for doing this. You can use an iron to touch both pieces of glass and then press into place or you can use a soft cloth to wipe both pieces of glass together.
Either way, let them work through the process of writing, crossing out, and rewriting their ideas on the whiteboard. This is how all great ideas begin!

Hang onto a metal surface
You will need a white board, a sheet of magnetic glass, and a hang-on bracket. This is typically done on the second or third day of the week that class is in session.
You will also need a drill and a screwdriver to set the hang-on bracket. This can be tricky to set up at first, but keep at it and you will eventually get it!
To make your whiteboard magnetic, you must first create an empty space on your magnetic surface. Then, place the sheet of magnetic glass on top of the empty space and carefully screw in the hang-on bracket.
Write on with dry-erase markers
A well-known fail-proof way to make a magnetic whiteboard is to use dry-erase markers. The theory is that when these passes through the board, they leave a trace which holds it up and you can write on it.
This does work, but in my experience it is very hit or miss. Some boards are more receptive to the marker than others.
Barth, who has posted his board successfully multiple times, says his board always shows up right away and works fine. He uses self-stick velcro to affix his paper to the board.
Clean with a dry cloth
Once your whiteboard is clean, it’s time to add some style! You can do this easily with a dry cloth and a fine-grade magnet.
First, remove any stray pieces of paper or other materials that may be attached to the board. Then, place a small piece of paper on one side of the board, and then place the small piece of paper on top of the board.
Then, place the small piece of paper on top of the board, and then lay a strong magnet on one side of the board.
Use it as a normal board
If you want to use your glass whiteboard as a normal board, there are two main ways to make it magnetic. One way is to use a very strong magnetic material on it. The second is to cover the whiteboard in paper or cloth.
Both of these methods require some expertise with Whiteboards, so don’t just throw this out because it is a whiteboard!
With the material, you can do some pretty cool things. For instance, you can create picture frames or another surface that you can hang your paper or cloth on. With the whiteboard covered, you cannot use a magnet on it, but you can still make picture frames or do other creative things with it.
Re-write on it with dry-erase markers
If you want to add some texture to your whiteboard, you can re-write on it with a thick line of dry-erase markers. You can do this in two ways.
First, you can write the line very thin, like a line of chalk. Then, you can put a [texstone] (a material that does not change shape) underneath the line to make it look like paper is beneath.
The second way is to write the lines very thickly and then use a [texstone] under the thick lines to make it look like paper is underneath. This way, the lines are more solid and thicker.
