Creating a car is a fun way to learn about engineering, building, and design. There are many ways to make a car, so we will go over some of the more common ones. All of these cars require some sort of chassis to drive!
The most basic car is the brick car. This car requires no support structure and can be built in any order. The easiest way to make a brick car is by using two long pieces of Lego (one on each end) and then connecting them together as the body.
The next simplest way to make a brick car is by using two plates with holes in them placed side by side and then one leg should be put on it. These must be sanded down and painted!
The last basic way to make a brick car is by using two plates with no holes in them placed side by side and then one leg should be put on it.

Buy the correct number of Legos for your car kit
When building your car, you will need at least one red, one yellow, and one black Lego brick. All of the bricks in your kit must be connected in a set.
Your car must have wheels to build it on. You can choose to make your car driven or passenger, but if you build a passenger-only car, make sure it has wheels!
Make sure you buy the correct number of bricks for your kit. Your red brick should connect to one white brick, your yellow brick should connect to one black brick, and your red plate must connect to one black plate. When building, make sure these connections are true and strong.
Open up the Lego car kit
When you buy the car kit, you’re given the option to open up the box or not. If you do, you have more opportunities to make your car!
If you don’t, then you can just start building your car right away. Either way, both models require the same set of parts.
The only difference is which parts you use and where they go.
Some sets require all of these components be assembled before playing with them.
Put the Legos in their correct places
When building a car, you must put the legos in their places. This means creating a car body, placing the front and back legs, and setting up the wheels. Once these are done, you can start adding pieces!
The easiest way to put the legos in place is to line up one end of the board and then slide it under the other end. This requires just a little bit of coordination, but it works!
For the wheels, mix some metal rings with some soft plastic. For contrast, use hard plastic instead of no plastic at all. For example, use clear glass instead of nothing!
For the body panels, mix some cardboard with some soft plastic.
Mix up the pieces of different colors
Make your car fun and exciting by using a wide range of colored pieces. You can get some in Pelican Pro White, Cyber Green, and Hot Pink. All three of these colors look great!
Using these pieces will allow you to create many different looks for your car. You can for example use all black or all red toys. Or maybe a bright light green or purple one.
So go ahead, mix up the pieces! You will be more inclined to put down your toy and put some work into it.
Use either reinforced shelves or a sturdy floor to reinforce the car.
Put the pieces together to form the car body
Once you have the car body together, add some wheels and you’re all set! Now go drive!
How to Make a Lego Car
Making your own Lego cars is a fun way to do some work-place learning. It is also an excellent way to teach children about construction and engineering.

You can also make a cars with no other piece than a wheel! These are known as single-piece cars.
Finish putting it together
Once your car is together, you can start driving it! You will need to add gas and/or oil as the car moves, so be sure to finish putting it together before you start driving!
How to Make a Lego Car does not tell you to break it in before driving, so we suggest doing this first. You can make changes to the suspension and steering to ensure they work properly before you take off!
This toy car is perfect for younger drivers as it is easy to control and doesn’t require very much skill. It would be a great driver’s education tool for kids who are just learning how to get on the gas and brake.
We suggest going at a slow speed the first time so that the driver learns how to control their car.
Decorate it with more Legos
If you want to go even more crazy, you can add on to your car. You can add on to it with Lego pieces!
You can add on to your car by finding new pieces to place in it. Or you can just leave them out!
To extend your creation, you can add on to the front and back tires, a grill, a window, and a seat. You could even build in a drivers seat or doors.
This is an excellent way to use up some of your new sets. Every set gets put into one of your cars and sent off into the world, so you could do some very fun creations.
