Talk to people who have taken a class or been a dispatcher
There are many ways to learn how to be a dispatcher from home. You can visit a university, take a class, or be a member of the dispatch table at local events.

To get a good microphone, buy a good condenser capsule (AKA: Pick One). A condenser is usually referred to as a “charge” or “zinc” condenser mic. These mics can pick up sound fairly well, but they require special equipment to use.
The correct power source for the mic must be used when recording. If the recorder does not have an option to use a power conditioner, then you must use an external one.
Get comfortable seating

You can also check on your own affairs. If you have a personal phone and email, then you can go online and check your messages and texts as soon as they arrive.
It is very important to take care of yourself while serving as a dispatcher from home. I suggest going to the hospital or doctor’s office the day before an emergency due to the stress relief.
Keep your schedule flexible
You can’t be the best at being a dispatcher if your schedule is rigid. You need to be able to fit in some activities, meetings, or calls that you would like to take advantage of, but that don’t conflict with your job.
That’s why it’s important to keep your schedule flexible. You want to be able to fit in meetings and engagements when it would benefit you as a worker or person.
If you are always busy and have no time for things that need to be done, you will lose confidence in yourself and your team. When this doesn’t happen, you will create poor working conditions and morale among your team members.
You will also have more time to spend with your family and personal life which is important unto yourself and yours.
