Most players make some kind of error when they draw the exact line between their thumb and forefinger at impact.

Draw a triangle on one side
Now draw a triangle on the other side. This is where your line will go.
Now change the color of your line to another one. There are many ways to draw a golf ball, so this is not a set rule. You can draw a black line to represent the hole, for example.
Many artists use turquoise or red lines to represent those watery reflections in a pool. Others use light gray for that smoothness of the water, and still others use dark gray for that obvious border between holes and non-holes.
