Another important point to note is that the Gear VR model must be paired with a Samsung smartphone. This means that you will not be able to use your Note 4 or Note 4 Pro in conjunction with the Gear VR!
However, your regular smartphone can! As long as it is a Galaxy or iPhone brand phone, you can use the Gear VR! This is true even if you do not have a Samsung account installed on your phone.
You can easily purchase the Gear VR at retailers like Amazon or Best Buy, and then you just plug it in and go! It is surprisingly simple.
Compatible phones
The Gear Vr Note 4 works without a problem, but be aware that it may not work on all phones. The compatible phones are the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge+, and theiPhone 6 and 6+.
The Vr Note 4 has a wide screen measuring 5.7 inches, so be aware that you will need to reduce the font size to get everything to fit. You will also need a larger display to fit everything on, due to the VR conversion feature.
The iPhone 6 and 6+ have smaller screens than the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge+, so you may need to buy an external monitor or use an app for that matter. You can still view content in VR, just with a smaller display.
Oculus
Gear VR compatibility is pretty low-key. Most games will not recognize the device and/or will not work on it. Some games do work, but many require you to set both devices up as separate accounts.
This includes Drive Club,oorion intooc, and Rez: Maximum bceeding. These games require you to set both devices up as separate accounts to work properly.
Drive Club is a good example of a game that works, but only when setting up two separate accounts is off. If one account has access to the Gear VR, Drive Club will not allow you to switch between views due to an issue with ordering directions in the app.
Samsung
Note 4 compatibility has been a top priority for Samsung since Gear Vr Note4 launch. Although it does not support the device, there are ways to make it work!
By connecting the Samsung smartphone to a Gear VR headset, you can use some apps and games on the Vr Note. Some of them have been updated to support the new Gear Vr Note.
As an example, you can play Asphalt 8: Hit The Road on your phone in conjunction with your Gear Vr Note!
There are also some free app stores for mobile devices that will let you download apps for your device. Again, make sure you have the correct version of Android installed as some aren’t supported yet on theGear VR.

Pros
Gear Vr Note 4 compatibility is pretty easy. You just have to make sure your note 4 has the same or more than one compatible device. There are a few ways to do this, though.
Where you can find this out is through the online store. You can go to their website, click on the gearvr-note-4 link, and then click on the buy now button. This will take you to a website where you can buy your device.
Once you do that, then your phone will connect to your vrNote4 via bluetooth. You can now use it as a remote for your vrNote4!
These devices work by converting your phones screen into a virtual screen that you view through the headset. The only downside is that it takes some time for it to sync with your phone and vrNote4.
Cons
The feature is only available on Note devices at the moment. If you have a other device, do not try to use the Gear Vr Note4 compatibility feature because it will not work!
Using the note 4 as a replacement for the vr headset is pretty difficult as it. You need to take away some of the straps and put them on the vr headset to make it work.
Even with these difficulties, this feature is worth trying out because you could save some money by having another vr experience. Even if you cannot get into this experience due to these issues, this feature can still be fun for few minutes.
Having such a small feature makes me want to have a full kit but does not seem compatible with production schedules or quality control.
Price
The latest model of the Gear vr note compatibility is priced at $199.99. This is a budget friendly option compared to some of the more expensive models.
This is the only compatible smartwatch that allows you to use your cell phone as a phone case. You can purchase a glorified flip phone case that fits on your vr note 4 and use your cell as the main contact source.
The other cases such as dive cases, medical cases, and sport cases require you to have a special watch made for those purposes. These special watches cost around $20 – $30 depending on whether they are leather or rubber material.
These cases must be used with a smartwatch that has a sim card capability in order for it to work.
