Ask for help
While failing nursing school is a right of passage, it is also important to ask for help. You are now a successful adult, so you can rely on yourself to get back into school and regain your certification.
Many people are willing to help you in your journey back to school. A lot of them know the program well and can give you good advice on how to prepare for the course and re-apply as a nurse.
Some even have experience studying and applying for schools while having little or no education in teacher preparation. This can be difficult, however, due to the fact that most professional teacher preparation programs do not have access to non-teachers because they are not ready for application process.
If you are an adult without a job who wants to return to school, ask around about possible places that may help you. Don’t be afraid to contact schools directly either, if there is nothing else.
Talk to your teacher
When you’re failing nursing school, the most important thing is talking to your teacher. She is really important to your success in this program so you should trust her advice.
If your teacher says you’re doing well, then congratulations! You deserve a pat on the back!
But if her or his say the opposite, then stay tuned because you may need to talk to a doctor or another teacher about your frustration.
Failing nursing school is not a full-time job and it cannot be done on a regular basis.

Visit the library or bookstore ahead of time
Check out the bookstore two days before class to make sure they have enough books and that they have a good grasp of what they are asking for.
Stay engaged
While you are taking your leave of nursing school, you should remain engaged in the community where you live, work, and play. Your school finished training you to be an advanced nurse, but the real world demands that you can lead and take charge.
You will need to help out at the local hospitals, nursing homes, and doctor’s offices as part of your job description. Even if you don’t currently have a job, you should consider applying for one while you are still on leave to build your resume and feel more connected to the community.
You will also need to continue training as an advanced nurse upon returning to practice. Many institutions offer online or telephone courses that can be completed on your own time. If you did not take any courses during your leave, then start building back up so that you can return to the practice field when they call on you again.
