Finally, fans are paying more for their tickets because of the location: San Jose’s Bill Veeck Theater is closer than San Jose’s SAP Arena on Santa Clara Street!
Finally, there may be some hidden fees associated with the event such as graphics or print materials fees, merchandising charges, or broadcast fees.
Many fighters are paid on contract
Most fighters are paid on a per fight basis with a few being paid more and most being less. There are several fighters that are paid more than the norm due to their performance.
Pay-per-view is a way for fighters to make money off of their name. Although it is not the most popular pay-per-view, it is still sold occasionally. Many people purchase it just to see the fighting and see how much money they are paid!
Some pay-per-views cost between five and six hundred dollars making them affordable for most people. Others cost much more due to the quality of the event. Some people even spend more than that because they value how much fighting equals money!

Like any business, the more money they make, the more they want. The fighters in the UFC gain income by selling merchandise and attending events.
It is hard to stay motivated and committed to working out as a paid job when you are paid every time you sit down. People can be greedy, however.
If someone from the UFC looked at the content on their website and saw how sparsely organized it was, they might change their mind about paying them. They would want something more professional looking and feeling.
That’s why I recommend having a bit of revenue stream ready for when your job breaks away from the Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Cost of producing the event
As mentioned earlier, UFC PPV is a combination of pay-per-view and television. Both methods are used to purchase your ticket, and therefore, you can see the event.
The cost of a ticket is usually around $100USD, with the broadcast going for around $40-$50 USD and the live events eventgoing for $20-$30 USD. This price range includes both methods of television and pay-per-view.
In order to see the live event, you must purchase a recording. The cost of this recording is usually around $25-$35 USD plus shipping fees which can be huge!
This may seem expensive, but it saves you from sitting in front of the TV watching an edited video which may not be as exciting or fresh as the actual event itself.
Pay-per-view costs have risen over the years

This is made possible by the growing size of the audience. There are now more people who would like to watch a fight than not, and paying money for a fight is a way to do that.

Production costs include everything from setting up cameras and filming places, to producing mockups and packaging for sale. Sales promotion includes putting the ticket numbers on show tills, distributing tickets via email, and/or live twitter accounts.
It’s a business and they’re looking to profit
The UFC is a profitable company that makes money off of their events. They charge a fee to attend, buy a ticket and see a bunch of top-notch professional fighters get into a battle of their skills.
However, the more popular an event becomes, the more money they make. This is why it is so expensive! It takes more money to produce an event and keep it running than a less popular event that could stay closed shop because of low sales.
Even though the PPV price is high, it still sells out quickly which proves how big the brand is.
