The term ‘blonde scotch’ refers to the fact that it is usually made with parchment-aged Canadian whisky instead of grains. This makes it a little sweeter than usual scotch, as the liquid has time to integrate with the oak barrels it is poured into.

Many maped whiskies are sold as collaborations or special releases, making it difficult to know what you are drinking. The process of mapping a whisky is called ‘whiting’ and it takes around two weeks per bottle.
During whiting, the distiller combines various components such as grains, fruit compo, sugar, flavors and finally fragrance to create the new whisky. Once it is done whinging, it goes through a long process of aging in used whiskey bottles until it’s perfect.
Does it matter what glass I drink my scotch out of?
Most people would agree that a glass or vessel in which to pour or serve scotch is important. How you transport and store your whisky will affect how well it lasts, how you prepare it, and whether you enjoy it.

There’s a term sometimes used to describe Scotch with an elevated amount of flavor and complexity—high-end Scotch. Though not marketed as such, these higher-components are usually worth the extra cost.
Many drinkers find that high-quality Scotch provides greater depth of flavor than simpler whiskies and that you will need to purchase multiple glasses to capture all the flavors that are present.
