The word prohibition comes from the late 18th century and means “a thing forbidden”. At that time, people were strictly banning things such as alcohol sales in places of worship, so it seemed wise to prohibit its use in sin.

The benefits of addiction to alcohol cannot solely be found in the Bible, so why do we ask the question? Because the answer can make or break your health!
If you are struggling with alcoholism or addiction, then staying away from Christian bars is a good idea. Although the Scripture does not specifically talk about alcoholism, it does speak about drinking wine instead of water.

The effects are very serious and last for years! Most people recover from alcohol dependence but at some point it must be treated.
