Colorful foods are much more commonplace now than they were when past generations lived in wood-lined villages.
In recent years, there has been a frenzy of red, orange, and bolder shades of lipstick. There is a reason for this: they look great on kissable lips!
Many people love the opportunity to be fashion forward and wear some pretty color lipstick and/or lipstick brands. In fact, looking at drug store and supermarket lipstick counters can make you go dizzy.
Some brands even offer color variations such as red, pink, or blue.

Light brown
Light brown is a classic color that never fails to look great. It is relatively neutral, which makes it a great color to experiment with.
When choosing a lipstick shade, look for how much sunlight is in your skin tone and in your life. If you see much more green in your life, then choose an emerald shade. If you see plenty of greenery in your life, then choose a dark brown lipstick.
Many people use Caudalie Paris L’Eau Thermale lipsticks as their light brown lipstick. It is very expensive, but if you really want it, then go for it! They also have some cheaper versions that are not necessarily better quality.
The biggest warning about this type of light brown lipstick is that it can get very sticky. Because it looks like the person does not have any cream or petroleum jelly on their hands to prevent getting the product on their lips, this can lead people to overapply which leads to deeper and more adherence of the cream or oil onto the lips.
Bronze
A dark brown, bronze is a very popular color for lipstick now! It goes with many colors of eyeshadow and is also a nice match for lipstick.
We currently have three colors of lipstick that are bronze: warm, richly tinted. The other two colors are soft, slightly warm or warmer, and cool-toned. Both types look great!
BasteiLipstick is one of the few companies that manufactures bright-toned bastei lipstick. Their reds are really noticeable and pop against the skin. The other two colors are neutral-toned and slightly more subtle.
To match a color with better brightness, use a slightly lighter caliber of eye makeup base. For example, if going light on the red lipsticks, use an eyeliner pen to reduce the desired intensity of the color on the lip. If going darker, use a stronger eyeliner pen to maintain intensity.
Deep red
A deep red is a great color match for green eyes. The rich, strong color of the lipstick goes great with the warm hues of the shadows.
Some reds are more desirable than others when it comes to matching colors. Some are warmer than others, making a difference in how desirable the match is.
A slightly warm red like brick red or a slightly colder crimson like cardinal red would be a good match for an eyeshadow set. A stark, bright red would not look good on anyone, making this a solid no-backup choice.
Black
Black is a classic color. There are so many ways to use and combine them- creme, matte, holographic, etc!
Lipstick with black as the base can have a glossy or semihave look. The matte nature of the lipstick adds some weight to the eyes as well as being present in deeper locations like under the eyelids.
The nude/brown base of this lipstick makes it an excellent match for warm tones like browns and greys. The added contrast makes him or her looking brighter and more natural.
Matte lipstick is better when someone with less dramatic lips does not overapply because it affects the shine of the lipstick. If you do not have very natural looking lips, then this type of makeup can help you achieve that!

Silver
A cool gray or black color is a great match for almost anything. There are many products that feature this color, so you do not have to stick to one!
Many products in the marketplace feature this color, making it a very popular one. It is also called dimpled or wrinkled gray. It can be very soft or subtle, depending on the manufacturer.
It can make or break a look and really makes you want to try out these colors.
Gold
Gold is a classic color. It is rich and strong. Most people associate it with high financial status. As you can see, it is also very beautiful!
My recommendation is to go for a darker gold color so that your cheeks and lips look richer. A bright gold may be too shiny and catch the attention of others.
Lipstick ranges in shape and length, from thickly coated liquid to roll on lipstick, feathery to longwear. Some come out with longer length due to requiring more wallet space to purchase them.
Rose gold
A bright, warm color that is close to orange is ideal for lipstick. The richer color allows you to see and taste your lipstick, and it also makes your lips feel more sturdy.
Greige lipstick looks great on! It is typically very dark, which is something we do not always love. If you would like a more natural look, greige lipstick is the way to go.
Another way to experiment is usingreverse-colored lipstick. You can find many beautiful results here: red versus black, or deep versus soft. This way of wearing lipstick has never failed me!
