If you want to add a new sim card, you must purchase a new watchband and/or cover. If you want to replace your Band/Cover, then find a open spot between two buttons on the band/cover where those can connect with each other. With those in place, tap and hold them for about a minute to make it easier to remove.

Locate the sim card slot

When you remove the Gear S2’s sim card, do not save your data yet! You will need to put it back in to load your data once the device has been recharged.

To remove the Sim Card, you must first locate it underneath the watch face. It is a small silver button that holds a small white charge tape. To remove it, lightly press and hold down on the button for a few seconds and away it pops out!

You can then put it back in and charge the watch using that slot. If you need to add a new SIM card, repeat from step 2 to get a second one installed.

Take out the sim card

After you get your Samsung Gear S2, it is time to put back the sim card Github. You can buy a new sim card or make a old one work again.

Making an old sim card work again can be tricky. In this case, we suggest buying a brand new Samsung Gear S2 Sim Card as it should be easier to remove and put back in place.

If you are unable to buy a brand new sim card, then you can try using your existing phone number as the new account. You would just have to create a new number for the new Samsung account once you got it working.

Either way, try not using your device until it responds to the network and shows you an incoming call or message has arrived and then answer or send them! Once that is fixed, reply with yes to see the notification on your phone that they have called or sent a message.

Replace and lock the sim card tray

After you have inserted your Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch into your device, you will need to replace the sim card tray. This can be a little tricky, so be patient!

Once you have removed the watch strap, push down on the top of the sim card tray and then pull up in order to remove it. Then repeat this process to insert a new sim card tray.

You will need to do this twice as firstly to ensure no remains are inside and that it is fully inserted into your device. Then, when activating and receiving calls, you will have no problems with being unable to hear anything due to people talking over you.

Put the back on the watch

Once you have inserted your phone into the Samsung Gear S2 and sourced an account on your watch, then it is time to put the back on!

If you did not put it on before, then you can now do so using a hairband or similar. Make sure to remove the band once the face is visible!
Whether doing a quick look or full-length wear, putting it on is just a case of pulling down one side of the strap and then pulling up another side to fasten.

Once fastened, leave it that way for about ten minutes before wearing any active services. This helps the connectors on your wristband adjust to any changes in temperature or movement.

Reset or transfer data to new SIM card

If your phone has Samsung’s innovative feature called Gear S2 compatibility, you can easily remove and insert a new SIM card.

To reset your phone to its original configuration, you must do a factory reset. This means that all of your personal data, accounts, messages, and apps are erased.

A transfer request is then sent to the Samsung support team for them to manually copy the new information onto your device. Once this is done, you can put your phone back in your pocket and go about your normal routine!

If you would like to keep the Samsung services such as S Plan & S Plan+ on your phone, then you must do a transfer request when the new SIM card is inserted into the device.
