However, there seemed to be more cultural differences than similarities. For instance, in West Hollywood there seems to be more of a Latin culture than in Seattle, where we have mostly American culture.
There were also some parts of the country that I felt were more “tech-centric” than other parts of the country, which made me wonder if that was why there were so many tech companies in Seattle.
Technologically advanced countries are known for being “tech-centric”, which makes sense based on how much technology is used in those countries.
Housing
When looking for housing, there are a few things that should be considered. The first is how close you want to be to the university, the second is what type of housing you want, and the third is what type of neighbors you want.
The closer you want to be to the university, the more centralized and expensive the housing will be. The two ways to stay close to campus but less expensive are off-campus housing or renting a place together with your friends.
If you are looking at single-person living arrangements, then make sure they are safe and secure. If you are looking at small groups or families, make sure your neighbors are nice enough to each other.
In general, watch out for anything that seems inefficient or outdated. A good way to check this out is by looking at old student accounts to see if any new features have been added.
