The Samsung Gear 2 is the second version of the Samsung Gear series. This device is similar to the Samsung Gear 1 in that it provides notifications, but it adds fitness tracking and a heart rate monitor.
Similar to its predecessor, the Gear 2 provides notifications for apps and services via its built-in display. These include calls, messages, calendar events, and app notifications.
It also tracks your fitness data, including your step count and heart rate during daily life. As with its predecessor, the Gear 2 is small and lightweight to wear. It also retains the same basic features as yesterday’s model, including a watch face support for phone messaging and calls, an activity tracker capability, and a notification feature.

Connect Gear to phone via Bluetooth
When paired with a Samsung phone, the Gear 2 will connect to your phone via Bluetooth. You can then control the device by entering its details in the ‘Connect’ screen.
This is useful if you want to play music or reply to a message on the device, however you wish!
You can also transfer data between the device and your computer, if you have an app for that. The app can be installed on your phone and computer at the same time – just make sure you have both connected before trying to use the Gear.
If you want to transfer more data than just email and text, then this is the app for you! There are many apps that let you send and receive emails and texts, but few support offline functionality.
Update software on Gear
If your smartphone has a small screen, you can use the Gear 2 using a headset. It is called a headset because you wear it on your head.
To download the software onto your Gear 2, you must have a phone or computer that has an app store available. Once that is open, search for Samsung Galaxy gear and purchase the device.
Once it is installed, connect the device to a computer using an USB cable and open up the SamsungGear2App. You will be taken to the app’s home page where you can update the software and change settings.
Set up a profile
Before you can use your gear 2, you must create a profile. This allows you to connect your gear 2 to your previous account.
To do this, go to the back of your phone and enter your pin code or pull out the card that was sent to you via Message and Make It Easy To Connect Your Gear 2 To Your Previous Account By Doing This.
Then, enter your phone number and wait for the review process to complete. Once it does, connect your device and try connecting again! If that does not work, call Samsung Support at 1-800- SAMSUNG .
Add a payment method
If you have a bank account or credit card, you can add it to Gear 2. Just go to your device’s home screen and click on the “apps” icon.
Then, click on “add new app.”
Now, enter the app’s name and click on “add to device.”
This will add the payment method to your Gear 2, so you can use it at an event or while signing up for things via online services.
Start using Samsung Pay
To start using Samsung Pay, you must first enable it on your device. To do that, go to the My Account section and select Widgets & Notifications to view and turn on Samsung Pay.
Once it is enabled, you can begin using Samsung Pay. Just enter your card information and tap Confirm.
How much time will it take to finish paying? Commercial-quality apps take a long time to create, test, and update, so keep an eye out for the app when you pay for something. If the app takes a little bit of time to load or confirm, you have saved some time by paying with Samsung Pay.
If you are worried about hackers trying to steal your payment information, use credit or debit cards instead of cash because there is less risk of money being transferred without being authorized.
Control your music player
The Gear 2 comes with a music player called Samsung Express. This player connects to your phone via Bluetooth and allows you to control your music via your phone.
This is a great feature to have as it makes it easy to switch between devices to listen to your favorite songs!
You can also addand play themon the device, making it the most comprehensive music player you will find on a smartwatch.
Its functionality is similar to that of a traditional music player, with controls like play, pause, and skip controls. The main difference is that the watch has access to streaming services like Spotify and Pandora, allowing you to have more variety of music available.
As with any technology device, be careful when using it in public. Some watch owners have been accused of breaking into homes through their smartwatch technology.
Control your camera
The Gear 2 comes with a rear-facing camera and a front-facing camera. The rear-facing camera can be used to take photos or videos by pressing and holding the activate button for around a minute until it is activated.
The front-facing camera can be used to shoot video by doing the same procedure for that mode. Both the video and photo quality are good, however, some people might find it difficult to remember to take a photo right after turning on the device.
Because of this, I recommend using the video mode only for phone calls instead of both during noisy conditions.
Receive notifications
The first thing you should do if you get the Samsung Gear 2 is to receive notifications. This means opening the app or device screen and seeing if there are any notifications from the Gear 2.
That is because your Gear 2 will only notify you of alerts from apps and messages that it sees. Most devices have a notification LED that lightens when an alert is incoming.
However, since the Samsung Gear 2 has a LCD display, this must be done via a notification LED. You can purchase one of these at your local electronics store or online.
