Popsocket is a pretty new concept in tech. There are very few examples of what you see is how you get done. Popsocket is a method for designing and making technology applications and experiences in pop-socket style.
Pop-socket apps work by putting your information in a small, customizable, mobile-friendly frame and then adding content and design elements on top. It looks like this:

Rub the popsocket with a dry cloth
When your popsocket has been cleaned, it is time to re-dye it! You can do this either by washing it again with a different color wash or by re-dying the same color popsocket but this time with the added benefit of a richer dye content.
We recommend using a slightly darker red than your current ones. This will make a bigger difference in how your device looks after wearing it!
To dye, first carefully remove any pest infestation strings and then carefully dry your popsocket. You can do this easily by laying it on a soft cloth and leaving it alone! If you have to re-dye your popsocket more than once, take some extra time to store new ones in a sealed bag to prevent them from getting wet.
Rub the popsocket with your hand
After it has stuck to your finger, you can remove it by rubbing a paper clip or another popsocket over the stick. This lets more air in and out of the popsocket, helping make it softer and more stretchy.
You can also put some rubbing alcohol on your hands and then onto the popsocket, this helps make it easier to remove after stickering. Alcohol works well as a solution for sticks!
General rule: When removing a sticky, start with putting just a small amount of alcohol on your hands and then applying the sticks unto your finger. You want to avoid having the sticky land on an exposed area such as a pocket or shirt because then it may not dry properly.
Use a hair dryer
Most peoples’ first thought when they see a popsocket with a hair dryer inside is, “Oh, no! That’s gonna take forever!”
But it doesn’t have to! You can make a popsocket stick by using a hair dryer instead. All you have to do is fold down the top of the popsocket and then wrap the hair dryer cable around it.
You can then let it sit until it is completely dry. Then you can put it up or down!
This method works for making lots of different kinds of popsockets so you can try all kinds of things.
Run it under hot water
After you have put your child to sleep, and if you woke them up during the night, they may want to play with their hands or toy. This is a good time to teach your child how to make their own popsocket.
If they are able to put it in the mouth, then you can run a bath and let them enjoy themselves! If they can pull it out of the tube, then you have a new goal: making your popsocket!
The first step in making your own popsocket is to run a hot bath or hot water set up in a bathtub. Once in the water, let your child sit comfortably with their feet just peeking above the water. Then get into the bathroom and get into the tub or shower with them.

Let it sit in the sun
When you take your popsocket out of the box, it needs to be protected from the elements. If you leave it in a bathroom or kitchen countertop, it can get wet from water or food particles that get on it.
You can also let it sit in the sun to dry. Just make sure to cover it up when doing this! It will still take a while, possibly several days, but it will eventually look like new again.
How to make your popsocket stick again: Once your popsocket has dried, place it on a paper towel to prevent damage. Then, place one end of a hairband or ribbon around one corner and pull until the rest of the ribbon is bound around the corner. Repeat with the other end of the ribbon and hairband or Ribbon + Hairpin.
Apply rubbing alcohol to it
When the popsocket is dry, put a little V-8 car wash on it to remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated on it.
Now, gently wipe the popsocket with a soft, clean cloth to remove the alcohol and make it thusly pleasant to touch again.
This process may take several attempts as you practice doing it correctly, but eventually you will get it. Try not to use too much alcohol as this could cause damage to other items in your car or house. It should only be used on the popsocket itself and not around the phone or case.
Wash it with soap and water
When the popsocket has been exposed to a lot of moisture, it can become sticky again. This is due to some rubber components in the popsocket breaking down and joining with other pieces, including the springs.
To make it dry, you must remove all the moisture from it. If you do not have a way to remove the moisture, let it dry completely before applying another wet material.
To make it stickier, try washing your popsocket with soap and water only. If you had to use a petroleum-based liquid soap, reduce how much water you use so that it does not evaporate.
Avoid using any shampoo or conditioner that contains banned oils like wax or coconut because of possible side effects like Freeman’s Syndrome (FGD).
Use an adhesive restorer
When your pop socket has fallen apart, you can use an adhesive restorer to put back together. An example of an adhesive restorer is Super Glue.
Using a knife, cut a small amount of the glue into small squares and place on the broken piece of your phone. Let it dry, and then you can use your phone as usual!
You can also buy new popsockets made of hard plastic instead of jelly-like material. This makes it easier to remove and replace the replacement phone in case your new phone breaks.
Either way, make sure you keep your new phone in a protective case while it is being manufactured so that nothing happens to the glue.
