A hype video is a short, entertaining way to introduce your upcoming event to your audience. It can be done for a number of events, from a short gameplay demonstration to an extensive walkthrough.
The emphasis in a hype video is on entertainment value. People are more likely to watch if they see something funny or interesting happen to someone else!
Video editing tools are easy to use There are many free video editing tools available for both desktop and mobile devices. Once you have selected the right tool for the job, making some fun effects and transitions is just a few clicks away.
Edit your footage
After your cameras are set up, you’re ready to go! It’s time to shoot your first video! But don’t just run out of tape and pocket knives- you have to edit your footage!
Edit for clarity
When editing your video, make sure to carefully edit for clarity. There are a few things you can do to make the video more clear, such as cutting out clips with dialogue or adding white space where needed.
Cut out any footage that is too long or contains unnecessary elements. If the element being added was important to the message of your message, give up that element and add only what is really necessary.
If the footage contains people, ask yourself whether they are being photographed properly or if they are being filmed in an unnatural manner. Make sure their faces and bodies are covered by camera and video equipment.
Edit for emotion
Another thing to watch for in editing is how emotion is conveyed in your message. Take a look at all of the ways you might include expression in your video and work towards including only those elements that are necessary.
Put music behind it
This is very important. Your video should have a soundtrack. Without the soundtrack, your video will seem very static and boring. You will also be required to read more to take you through the stages of film making, so that you can add music and effects!
Making a sound effect video requires very limited budget, but it is not always true that money can make wrong. People may look at your video and think that it is too simple or not enough fun, for them to invest in.
So, if you are making a health and fitness video, try looking at some of the online music libraries to see if there are any songs you like. Most large online music services have their own app you can use, so this is not an expensive addition.
Add text overlay
Now, let’s add some text overlay to the video. You can do this by using the Vimeo add-in called VideoPad. You can download it from the link below.
VideoPad allows you to put text on your video instead of just adding a transition effect. This gives you more freedom to write your text, and it also gives you another way to monetize your video.
By placing a small money-related message at the beginning or end of your video, you can give your audience a sense of why they should watch your content. You can also place these messages at different times in your video, so they do not become annoying or static.
When creating the tapered ending to your video, try putting a small reward in there for those that stay through the end that they got something nice done on their video.
Publish to social media
Now that your film is complete, it is time to upload it to social media. You can do this either by linking the video to the app or by linking the video to your laptop or desktop.
Either way, you will need to set up your account and link it into the app. Once this is done, you can start posting!
Posting can be difficult at first. It is important to take a break every few hours to rest your brain and fingers. But with time, you will get better at it!
Keep an eye on your video stats. Posting can get boring if it does not gain any interest from people. Have a good post-production process that takes care of any errors that may arise.
Ask fans to share
Your video should include a call to action that asks your fans to share the video on social media, leave a comment below, or send them an email. This gives you valuable feedback on how your video was received and helps create a more engaging experience for future videos.
Making the request in your video makes it more apparent. You can also ask fans to share the video on social media or sent them an email which is helpful.
Again, try to stay neutral in your requests as they are not necessarily promoting yourself but asking for help from fans is human and they might do it.
Video length: Your video should be under two minutes! That is it! Most of the most effective videos are two to three minutes in length.
Update profile on recruiting sites
Once you’re linked to a school, it is time to update your profile on the school’s website. You will want to include some details about yourself and your accomplishments at this point, so do not go too far into the video yet.
Just like in the making of a vlog, when you are done filming and editing, then you can post it! This needs to be done before the event because once you are enrolled at a school, you no longer rank in the recruiting sites.
Upload to YouTube (not recommended)

Email coaches for feedback
Once you’ve designed your video, it is time to create the email campaign. This is where you give your audience a chance to see your video and send you feedback.
To do this, go to the email campaign page of your video website and enter your information. Then, you will get emails from coaches letting you know how good your video is and offering tips and tricks for making future videos better.
This is important! The more people that see your video, the more valuable the feedback will be. By receiving comments and feedback from people who see your video, you will make a greater change in what you say and how you say it.
By sharing this information with my audience, they can access it via their computer or phone just as I did.
