A very fun way to do some home metal bending is by either pinning or pasting directly onto the surface you want to bend.
Pin or paste technique is the most common way to do this. Both of these methods allow you to put your paper in the machine, and then release the pressure as the paper bends.
The only difference is that when using the paste method, you must use a glue gun to stick your paper on the die. The glue can be difficult to remove, so be careful!
Pasting does take a little practice and skill, so do not expect this style of embellishment to become natural overnight.

Find pattern you want to use
Once the pattern is on, you can then cut and paste the film onto your cardstock. The trick to doing this at home is to print the pattern on multiple layers of paper.

First, take the baking soda and roll it out to a thin layer of powder. Then, use something like a pencil or credit card shape and stamp the baking soda onto the flour until it is covered.

Depending on what materials you like, you can either trace your design or start with a simple marker and traced. Once completed, use your favorite powder-based ink and paint over the design.
