Since this occurs only if a patient takes the drug correctly, it is important to take the drug before surgery as well as during and after surgery.
The second important thing to do for shoulder blade surgery is to take your pain medication.
See your doctor for medication
Pinched nerve is a common cause of numbness or pain when the shoulder blade is pulled back. When this happens, the nerve that runs down the arm and hand is pinched or trapped between the upper arm bone and the outer side of the wrist.

Elevate your arm

Wear a shoulder strap
When you carry a heavy backpack or large carrier, you may find that your shoulder strap is pinched up against your neck. This is due to the weight of the backpack or carrier being too much to fit comfortably on your back.
To remedy this, you must let your bag hang freely when not in use. If you have a heavy duty bag, it may require more than just tightening the straps at night to ensure they are freed in the morning.
Try having your bag adjusted so that it is sitting on a chair or something similar to prevent it from collapsing when empty. Or make sure it is secured with a sturdy strap!
If you need to carry a small bag for everyday needs, make sure that you are still free from arms-length measures. Any bags that are very large or small should be regulated by law, as they are dangerous.
Use a cane
When you have a very painful shoulder blade bone condition, you may want to look into having a caneidge. A caneidge is a long, heavy wooden or leather piece that is used to help support the body weight in the standing position.
