Dog hair is a natural substance named fur that belongs to a family of animals called mammals. While most dogs are unable to completely rid themselves of hair, it can be limited or stopped!
Typically, young dogs are introduced to a brushing method using their hands as the first step. The dog must be able to manage the process and be consistent in applying sufficient pressure while removing the brush in an opposite direction after each fur is removed.
By using this approach, you can still take your dog for a walk or exercise as long as they manage the process properly. More advanced users may use either chemical or biological agents, both of which have proven results.

Hot oil massage
This is a new practice that is being introduced into the home medicine arena. Hot oil massages are usually intended to loosen up tight muscles and joints.
With a hot oil massage, your dog’s hair is gently rubbed in small areas with large amounts of oil. This creates a warm and relaxed environment for you and your dog to work together.
The oil helps remove any dried blood or hair that remains on your dog as he or she sits on your hands. This helps let more skin contact the oil, which increases its temperature more quickly.
Apply natural oils
Make your dog look more appealing is by using warm oil. This can be coconut oil, almond oil, or even sesame oil. All of these oils contain natural fats that make your dog feel more moisturized and even smelled better.
Just a small amount of oil can do a lot of damage. So, do not go overboard with it. Rather, start with a small breed and work your way up to a larger one.
This is possible because of the composition of the dog hair. The hair has to have enough movement to absorb the oil, but not so much that it will break down. After doing this for a while, you will have very thick hair that may require specialized care.

When choosing a vitamin E oil, make sure it is cold pressed. This means that none of the valuable oils in the vegetable source was added, removed or changed during the process of producing the oil.
Many brands claim to have a cold pressed vitamin E oil, but don’t look for any recognisable trace amounts or signs of extraction. Many companies use it on humans because it helps with dry hands and feet, so why not give it to your dog?
One possible downside to using a pregnant dog should not be given too little or too much time to recover from is that her husband may require more Vitamin E Oil.
Try boiled cabbage leaves
Boiled cabbage leaves can be used as a substitute for bedding. They are very soft, so it is easy to just let your dog lie in it!
Making a salad with cabbage leaves is also an easy way to introduce your dog to the new food. Make the cabbage leaves colorful with some chopped up carrots, broccoli, and parsnips added in.
Boiled cabbage leaves are highly absorbable, which is one of the reasons they are used as bedding. By using it, your dog will be more comfortable and able to endure the hair loss process.
Make a paste with baking soda and water
This trick works for dogs that suffer from hair loss due to poor skin and hair hygiene. Rub a little baking soda onto your dog’s coat and let it dry before washing. The process of brush-and-dry treatment works as a natural hair shampoo.
To make the paste, you must use a high quality brand of washing liquid and water. The baking soda prevents the liquid from evaporating, thus rendering the treatment effective. Make sure to use a heavy enough amount of washing liquid to achieve the desired result, as some brands can be too light or fluids will not stick.
The dog must be washed and dried immediately after using this remedy, as soon as the baking soda cools off, the process stops working.

These ingredients help to lather up the hair and protect it from damage. These oils also contain natural vitamins and minerals that help to maintain strong hair quality.

Additionally, keeping the coat soft is another way to prevent loss of hair. If your dog has a very tight coat, they may need more frequent bathing to keep it soft. Using a water dish or bathtub so your dog can just take a long bath in case of rain is a good way to keep them happy and relaxed!

Talk to your vet about the cause of the hair loss
The normal age for a dog to stop hair coat is about 2-3 years. This is determined by the amount of skin and fur left on the dog after eating and sleeping.
There are two causes of hair loss in dogs: skin cancer and/or dermatitis. Most commonly, it is an emollient (oil) based hair coat protecting disorder, such as pityrafion wangii, which occurs in older dogs with low mobility.
But it can also be an acceleration of hair loss during a period of rapid growth, such as during puberty or after surgery or radiotherapy.
Prasol, an oil based prevention treatment, has become a standard care treatment for this reason. It may also be used in people too to prevent hair loss!
Symptoms include frequent licking and gripping of the dog’s coat with more frequent tearing or pulling, poor appetite, sometimes vomiting, sometimes diarrhea, lessened activity level and possibly ataxia.
Check for mites or fleas
Fleas and/or bugs can lie in wait in your pet’s coat. They can hide anywhere on your dog to start their meal!
To prevent this, make sure your dog is outdoors at least once a week. Or, check indoors daily for any fleas.
Checking for mites is another way to fight hair loss. Mites are small, shinny objects you can see through the skin. You can buy these at a vet or wildlife center, or made yourself by mixing boiled wool with an oil or butter.
Put a little of these on the fingers and gently slide the pet under the hot water and brush to check for mites. If you find any, give them a cortisone shot to get rid of them.
