Look to the example of Christ
New believers often struggle to understand and follow the example of Christ onto the scene. While many clergy members and non-clergy members demonstrate love, joy, perseverance, forgiveness, and other characteristics in Jesus, they don’t always explain these attributes in a compelling way.
That’s why it’s important to look to the example of Christ for new believer tools of ministry. By combining Christ’s characteristics into a series of faith-provoking habits that can be practiced by anyone, he can be applied to any situation.
For instance, if you wanted to start a mealtime conversation with your family about something they were grateful for, you could use the following five items as examples:
• God — They think He’s distant or not concerned about them, but God is actually doing things that areifying them. You show him love by practicing his commandments.
• Jesus — Family talk about what they are grateful for often times during prayer time so He is aware of what they are saying. By having this conversation during meals, they keep Him informed of His work.
Learn how to meditate on the Word of God

As you learn how to meditate, you will also learn how to improve your overall health and well-being. You will feel more relaxed, be more aware of your thoughts and actions, and most importantly: receive full & complete reimbursement for your efforts.
Learn how to pray
Praying is a valuable experience that everyone should do every day. Even if you are not very good at prayer, it is such a gentle experience that you can still enjoy it.
It can change your mind about things and give you strength to ask for what you need. It can help you find hope for your current situation and the future.
When we pray, we are actually asking God to give us His peace. This is a difficult thing to find. Many times we find peace in our own minds instead of God’s alone.
If you want to get more out of your everyday prayers, then you should pay attention to what each word means. Some words mean more in God’s presence than others do when I am praying by myself.
Here are some helpful words that mean something different when I am praying with God and want my request to be understood.
Go to church
Now is the time to start new lives as a result of what you have heard and read. Now is the time to be active in your faith.
Now is the time to explore churches and find belonging through a faith-based community. Now is the time to be trained in ministry by a church or organized ministry.
Now is the time to become a part of this movement and join others in ministry. God has called you, and he has prepared ways for you to go into ministry, whether that be serving in an organization, starting your ownministry, or joining a church as a staff member.
Now is the time to start building your career around your faith.
Begin establishing a relationship with your pastor
Your new believer should have a relationship with their pastor. This can be called a discipleship experience, or a time to learn from your pastor and community.
In this experience, he or she learns how to effectively disciple others through prayer, teaching, and other leadership opportunities. They also develop relationships with other members of the church on their path to holiness.
A relationship with your priest or bishop can help you stay connected to the church you are in. He or she can help figure out what solutions the church needs to stay relevant and functional.
On a more personal level, your priest can help you deal with specific issues that arise in your life, like substance use or sex addiction. A bishop can help you deal with issues of faith, which are common for people in this situation.
Begin establishing relationships with other believers
Before you can start building relationships with other believers, you must first establish relationships with God. By living a connected lifestyle with others, you’re supporting and cultivating relationships that lead to more meaningful and satisfied relationships with God.
This doesn’t mean that you have to be friends with everyone you meet, but rather that you build relationships through food, worship, and other evidence of God’s presence.
Asking others to be a disciple is only the beginning of being a Christian. Other elements include: teaching, ministering, following, and living.
Start small groups or a small group fellowship
New conservative believers should consider forming a small group or starting a small fellowship group to share in prayer and conversation. This is an excellent way to begin your path as a Christ-worshiping member of the Body of Christ.
A small group can be made up of close friends or acquaintances who believe in the same Jesus as you do. Together you can prayerfully discuss topics related to your faith, which can be fun and productive.
In your small group, you can:
Start with a simple meeting each week and work your way up to more complex meetings with snacks, drinks, and possibly a presentation. The beauty of this model is that it is low stress for all involved.
Disciple others and be discipled yourself
It’s the oldest and most fundamental request in life: to belong. We all need love and affection, so try to find ways to love and be loved.
As children, we were loved by our parents and grandparents. As adults, we can experience how you were treated as a child in your previous lives.
This is an essential part of being human. We were designed to love and be loved.
