True Duals
A dual does not mean two things are connected by a channel. It does not mean that one thing is quieter than the other, either. A dual does not have a rounded edge, a dual does.
A dual is a term used to describe two pieces of gear that are connected by a channel, but are not twins. They may be identical in looks, but have different functions.
The three most common connectors for duals are left and right subwoofers, depending on which side of the Center console you sit on. Left and right front speakers typically use the same Duals, while top and front speakers use opposite Duals.
When buying a Dual, make sure it has enough bass for your needs.
Compounds
Almost every vehicle has some kind of compound intervention, or a muffler for short. These are used to reduce the sound of the engine when it is running.
When a compound is installed into the exhaust system, it reduces the sound of the engine by adding sound dampening properties to the outgoing air. This helps reduce noise emissions while running.
Some compounds are made to reduce noise even more than a standard powder-coat black muffler can. These are known as color-change additives, or color change materials placed into the exhaust.
These include direct dye agents such as chromium trioxide, cadmium red oxide, and Indalcore Ultra Red XR1, all of which can change the look and feel of your vehicle.
Slickbacks
A slickback is a rare and very loud fish that can reach sizes in the hundreds of pounds. These fish can get as large as a half foot long, short, fat, and strong.

When a manufacturer does not have a soundcard that can handle a straight pipe, they must fabricate one. This can be timeconsuming and expensive!
To avoid any loss in quality or echo, all manufacturers use attenuators or low-quality synthetic materials in the straight pipe. Due to its rare nature, when buying a straight pipe, you must pay more than an equivalent diameter tube!
Some manufacturers use epoxied (taped together) or glued-on silicone sleeves on their pipes to decrease moisture exposure.
